Note that there are no "My Favorite Links" pages on my site (well, with the exception of interesting links, but that's a different kettle of fish). That's mainly because I don't see much point in linking to my favorite news sites like Wired News, The Register and Slashdot - I figure if anyone's gonna be reading those sites they're already doing it - they don't need me wasting bandwidth telling them what they already know. However! There is an exception.

Net comics are cool. Why you ask? Because unlike comics you will find in your local paper Net comics are often not politically correct, and have no one other then the artist deciding what will be published and what will not. In other words, there is little (if any) political or social censorship. This has the wonderful effect of very often making them funny. As such they often appeal to a section of society that is sufficiently diverse to make publication in a local paper (or even a national one) unprofitable. But on the Net, where publishing costs are close to nill, these niche comics can thrive.

I have the feeling I'm beginning to babble. Anyway. You get the idea. Here are my favorite comics on the Net - this page is here because unlike Slashdot, you might never have heard of them before. Read and enjoy. :-)

Sinfest

[Check out my Sinfest Search Engine!] My most favoritist comic of all time. Very funny, very unPC, very witty. With a healthy dose of religious commentary thrown in. If you don't get the joke, jump back a week or so and read from there - it usually makes sense in the end (but it's always funny non-the-less).

General Protection Fault

Probably my second favorite comic. Very often funny, sometimes just a good story. GPF is cool because it focuses on the characters more then the next leading comic. Plus it has a pretty high geek factor. This one you gotta read in sequential order to understand. It won't work to just jump in and read a single strip.

User Friendly

Most people know about User Friendly. But I'll link to it anyway because I read it on a regular basis. Very high geek factor. Some people may not find it funny simply because they don't get the insiders jokes. Which is, of course, what makes it funny. :-)
