This simple script was created for the purpose of notifying sys admins (who may otherwise be unaware) that they are infected and to provide them information on how to clean their server.

How to...

To install, place it in your root http directory and either alias it to default.ida or rename it to default.ida and force apache to run it as a PHP file. Instructions here are provided for Option 1 running on Apache, for other methods and other servers please see your server documentation.

To alias this file to /default.ida using Apache:

1. In your apache.conf file find the section relating to the server you wish to install Code Red Alert! on. This could be (for example) a <VirtualHost> section, or your could (and this is recommended) place it in the default settings so it applies to all virtual hosts.
   
   
2. Add the following line:
   Alias /default.ida /complete/path/to/default.ida.php
   (naturally replace /complete/path/to with the complete path)
   
   
3. Cause Apache to reload the config file. Done!
